Why Choose F&H for Process Equipment & Support?

When equipment goes down, a critical part is needed, or a process problem does not have an obvious answer, having the right resources available matters.

F&H combines deep inventory, technical capabilities, industry relationships, and responsive people to help customers solve needs throughout their operations. Headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, with locations and resources across the United States, F&H provides local support backed by the broader F&H team while also supporting customer needs internationally.

Since 1959, the idea behind F&H has remained simple: We Care. Today, as an employee-owned company, that means taking ownership of the need, staying accessible, and helping customers find a practical way forward.

Talk to F&H

MORE THAN AN EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTOR

Built to Help Keep Your Operation Moving

F&H has grown beyond supplying processing equipment because our customers’ needs rarely stop with the equipment itself.

A failed component may need to be repaired instead of replaced. A hard-to-find part may already be stocked at another F&H location. A process challenge may need Engineering. A component that does not exist off the shelf may need to be fabricated or machined. That is why the F&H Difference is not one product, department, or service. It is the combination of people, inventory, technical capabilities, and industry relationships available to help solve the need in front of you.

Ready When Production Cannot Wait

Inventory Built Around Customer Needs

When production depends on a part or piece of equipment, availability can matter just as much as the product itself.

Our founder, Wilbur Feagan, often said, “You can’t sell out of an empty basket.” That principle still shapes how F&H approaches inventory today.

Our stocking locations maintain a deep inventory of hygienic processing equipment, replacement parts, and critical components based on the customers and industries they serve. With inventory and resources positioned across the F&H network, our teams can also look beyond the nearest warehouse when a customer needs something quickly. When something is urgent, stocked items can ship the same day. Our teams can also coordinate additional delivery options when necessary, including carrier hub or airport delivery and dedicated hotshot service.

For customers who need a more proactive inventory strategy, F&H can also help identify and prepare for recurring and critical needs through the following:

Vendor-Managed Inventory

Inventory support built around frequently used items and the needs of the facility.

Plant Walks & Inventory Audits

A closer look at equipment and storeroom needs to help identify critical spares, inventory gaps, and recurring requirements before they become urgent.

Consignment Inventory

For applicable customers, critical equipment and parts can be stocked directly at the facility and available when they are needed.

Ownership You Can Feel

Real People Who Take Responsibility for the Need

F&H became employee-owned in 1995 when Wilbur Feagan turned the company over to the people who helped build it.

That ownership model still influences how we work. We are not a commission-based organization built around individual territories or protecting one person’s account. The goal is to make sure the customer gets connected with the right resource and a clear path forward.

If the first person you reach does not have the answer, we work to find someone who does. Knowledge developed across decades of equipment, applications, service, repair, fabrication, and customer relationships stays within F&H and is shared throughout our team.

That ownership mindset also affects how we respond when something cannot wait. Our customers can reach real F&H people after normal business hours, including nights and weekends, for help locating parts, coordinating urgent shipments, arranging service or repair support, or finding the right F&H resource.

The goal is simple: take ownership of the need and help the customer keep moving.

One Relationship. More Ways to Help.

Support That Goes Beyond Equipment & Parts

Sometimes you know exactly what you need. Other times, you know only what is not working. F&H gives customers access to multiple resources without requiring them to determine the solution before they call.

Equipment & Parts

Processing equipment, replacement components, aftermarket options, critical spares, and other plant needs supported by F&H’s manufacturer and supplier network.

Service & Repair

Evaluation and repair support for pumps, valves, homogenizers, heat exchangers, gearboxes, separators, and other process equipment.

Engineering

Engineering support for application challenges, equipment solutions, and custom component development.

MecTec Custom Fabrication

Custom stainless steel equipment and components when a standard solution does not fit the process.

Machine Shop

In-house machining for custom parts and components.

Field Support

Onsite installation, fabrication, equipment training, and other field support through applicable F&H locations. Our clients do not have to determine which department owns the problem.

Bring us the need. We can help determine where it goes next.

Local Knowledge. Broader Resources.

U.S. Locations With Support Internationally.

F&H is headquartered in Springfield, Missouri, with locations and resources supporting customers across the United States. F&H also works with customers internationally, including parts, service, and repair support in select markets outside the U.S.

Our U.S. network is designed to work together.

A customer working with one F&H location can also benefit from inventory, technical knowledge, service resources, and specialized capabilities available elsewhere within the company. It allows us to stay close to the facilities and people we serve while bringing in additional resources when the need calls for them.

For companies operating multiple facilities, that broader network also gives F&H the ability to support needs across plants and regions through one relationship.

Manufacturer Relationships Built Over Decades

Connections That Help Move Things Forward

F&H has spent decades developing relationships with processing equipment manufacturers and suppliers. Those relationships help us support customers with equipment selection, replacement parts, aftermarket options, application questions, technical resources, and issues that may require manufacturer involvement.

Our team also understands that the right answer depends on the application. New equipment may be appropriate. Repairing what you already have may make more sense. An available alternative may solve the need faster. In other cases, Engineering, fabrication, or machining may offer another path. Instead of beginning with a predetermined answer, we look at what the customer is trying to accomplish and help evaluate the available options.

Built Through The Work

Relationships That Have Lasted for Decades

F&H began in 1959 when Wilbur Feagan and Paul Higley sold dairy components to local processing plants. Decades later, long-term relationships with customers, manufacturers, industry organizations, and employee-owners remain an important part of the business.

Over the years, F&H has received recognition from customers and manufacturers for supplier performance, distribution, sales, growth, and partnership. Our team also participates in industry organizations that keep us connected to the markets and people we serve.

Our connection to the industries we serve also extends beyond day-to-day business. In 1993, Wilbur Feagan, F&H, and the International Association for Food Protection established the Black Pearl Award to recognize corporate excellence in food safety and quality. F&H continues to sponsor the award today.

For us, recognition matters because of what sits behind it: long-term relationships, knowledgeable people, dependable support, and a willingness to stay involved after the sale.

Bring Us the Need

When You Need More Than a Product, Start With F&H

Some needs start with a part or piece of equipment. Others require repair, technical support, a custom solution, or simply someone who can help determine what makes sense next.

That is the advantage of working with F&H. You have access to responsive employee-owners, stocked inventory, technical capabilities, established industry relationships, and a connected network of F&H resources supporting customers in the U.S. and select international markets.

You do not need to have the solution figured out before you call. Tell us what is happening, and we’ll help determine the next step.
