More Than 65 Years of Helping Keep Plants Running

F&H started in 1959 with two people delivering dairy parts and supplies to local processing plants. Today, we are an employee-owned process equipment and plant-support company serving customers across the United States and internationally.

From our corporate headquarters in Springfield, Missouri, and F&H locations across the U.S., our teams help processing facilities find the equipment, technical expertise and hands-on support they need to keep moving.

The company has grown. The industries we serve have grown. The ways we can help have grown. But the idea behind F&H is still pretty simple: take care of people and help customers find the right solution.

Built on Relationships Since 1959

F&H began in 1959 when Wilbur Feagan and Paul Higley started selling dairy components from the back of their truck to local plants. What began as a small Missouri operation grew as customers came to rely on F&H for more of what they needed to keep their facilities operating.

Paul passed away early in the company’s history, while Wilbur continued building F&H and remained involved throughout his life. In 1995, he made a decision that would shape the company’s future by turning F&H over to the people who helped build it.

F&H became employee-owned.

That decision opened the next chapter for a company that would continue growing while holding onto the relationships and customer care at the heart of its beginning.

Today

One F&H. More Ways to Help.

A company that began by delivering parts to local plants now serves processing operations across the United States and internationally with equipment, inventory and a growing range of technical capabilities.

EMPLOYEE-OWNED SINCE 1995

The People Helping You Are Owners, Too

F&H is 100% employee-owned. The people answering the phone, sourcing equipment, evaluating repairs, developing engineered solutions, fabricating components, machining parts and supporting projects all share a stake in the company and its future.

That ownership mindset affects how our teams work together. We are not built around individual commissions or protecting sales territories. When a customer needs help, the goal is to connect that need with the person or department best equipped to handle it. Employee ownership also helps F&H retain something that is difficult to replace: knowledge. Many employee-owners have built long careers here, allowing technical and industry experience to stay within the company and be passed along to newer team members.

For customers, that means the person helping solve today’s problem is backed by knowledge that has been built and shared across F&H for years.

One Company With More Ways to Solve a Problem

F&H has grown well beyond the equipment distribution business it began as. Today, our teams can help with the product itself, the parts that keep it operating, the repair when something goes down and the technical work required when an off-the-shelf answer is not enough.

Equipment & Parts

Processing equipment, replacement parts and components from established manufacturers, supported by inventory positioned across the F&H network.

Service & Repair

Hands-on evaluation, service and repair for pumps, valves, homogenizers, heat exchangers and other process equipment.

Engineering

Application evaluation, problem-solving, equipment and component design, CAD drawings and collaboration with our in-house fabrication and machining teams.

MecTec Custom Fabrication

Custom stainless steel equipment and components fabricated by F&H’s Mechanical Technical department for hygienic processing applications.

Machine Shop

In-house CNC machining for custom parts and components needed by customers and manufacturing partners.

Installation & Field Supply

On-site fabrication and equipment installation support through our teams in the Pacific Northwest.

Our Roots Are in Dairy. Our Reach Is Much Broader.

The first F&H customers were dairies and cheese plants. More than six decades later, our teams work with processing facilities across a much wider range of industries.

That includes:

  • Food & Beverage Processing
  • Dairy Processing
  • Beer, Wine & Spirits
  • Pharmaceutical & Biopharmaceutical Processing
  • Personal Care
  • Pet Food Processing
  • Other Hygienic & Industrial Process Applications

The products, processes and requirements may change from one facility to another. What carries across them is the need for people who can understand the application, identify the right resources and help keep the operation moving.

From Our Missouri Headquarters to F&H Locations Across the U.S.

Springfield, Missouri remains the corporate headquarters of F&H and the center of many of the resources that support our company. It is home to corporate operations as well as warehouse, repair, fabrication, machining and other F&H capabilities.

But F&H no longer operates from one place.

Our physical footprint now extends across the United States, with locations and teams from the Midwest and South to Texas, California and the Pacific Northwest. Inventory, people and specialized capabilities are distributed throughout that network, connecting F&H locations back to the broader company.

That U.S. network also supports a customer base that extends beyond the country. While our physical locations are in the United States, F&H serves customers internationally as well.

What began as a small Missouri operation has grown into a much broader F&H organization while Springfield remains at the center of the company’s history and operations.

The People Behind F&H

Knowledge Built Over Careers, Not Just Projects

Equipment, inventory and facilities are only part of F&H. The company works because of the people behind them.

Our employee-owners include customer-facing teams, service technicians, engineers, fabricators, machinists, installation crews, warehouse teams and others working behind the scenes to keep F&H moving.

Long employee tenure has allowed practical knowledge to stay inside the company as F&H has expanded. Experienced employee-owners work alongside newer team members, passing along what they know about equipment, applications, customers and the industries we serve.

That continuity connects today’s F&H to the company that began in Missouri in 1959, even as our footprint and capabilities continue to grow.
